Quiet Sun was an English progressive rock band formed in the late 60’s at Dulwich College in South London which broke up in 1971. In 1975, during a break in Roxy Music's touring schedule, the original members reunited to record their only album, "Mainstream." Though short-lived, their experimental approach and technical proficiency later earned them recognition as an influential cult band in the British progressive music scene. Band Members; Phil Manzanera (guitar), Bill MacCormick (bass), Dave Jarrett (keyboards), Charles Hayward (drums).

The album, “Mainstream”, also features Brian Eno and Ian MacCormick (aka Ian MacDonald, ex-Assistant Editor, NME, and writer of “Revolution in the Head – The Beatles’ Records & the Sixties”)
